What is SHE Creates?
SHE Creates is a hands-on music production initiative designed to empower middle and high school girls through creative technology, mentorship, and real-world music workflows.
Students learn how to produce, shape, and present original music using industry-standard tools—while building confidence, creative independence, and leadership skills that extend far beyond music.
This program centers girls in a space where they are often underrepresented and gives them the technical access, guidance, and creative authority to lead.

Why SHE Creates Exists
Girls are consistently underrepresented in music production, audio engineering, and music technology spaces. She Creates was built to change that.
Rather than positioning girls as participants on the sidelines, this program places them at the center of creation—making decisions, experimenting freely, and owning their creative voice.
The goal is not perfection. The goal is confidence, fluency, and creative leadership.
What Students Will Do
During the program, students will:
Learn the fundamentals of music production using professional software
Create original music from concept to completion
Explore sound design, beat-making, and arrangement
Participate in guided critiques and collaborative listening sessions
Develop confidence using creative technology
Present a final project showcasing their work
No prior production experience is required.
Program Structure (Pilot Model)
The SHE Creates pilot is designed as a short-term, high-impact experience.
Typical structure includes:
Weekly 45-minute one-on-one sessions
Select small-group collaboration sessions
A final showcase or presentation experience
Exact scheduling and delivery may vary depending on partner organization needs.
Who This Program Is For
SHE Creates is designed for:
Middle and high school girls (exceptions may apply)
Students curious about music, sound, or creative technology
Girls who may not otherwise have access to music production resources
Musical background is welcomed, but not required.

About the Founder
SHE Creates was founded by Tamara Myles, also known as Obie Liz®, a professional composer, producer, and music educator with extensive experience in creative mentorship, curriculum design, and music production.
The program blends artistic excellence with real-world workflows—ensuring students are learning tools and processes that are actively used in today’s music industry.
